The Upstream TSXV section covers a wide range of junior upstream oil and gas companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV).
Coverage is dominated by small-cap and micro-cap explorers, developers, and early-stage producers focused on high-risk, high-reward opportunities. Many companies hold assets in Western Canada, while others are pursuing international projects, particularly in Africa and Latin America.
Compared to the more established companies on the TSX main board, the TSXV segment is characterized by smaller market capitalizations, greater technical and financial risk, and a strong emphasis on exploration success, appraisal, and early resource development.
The database features independent Exploration and Production (E&P) operators (PRO), companies in the ramp-up stage (RMP), developers (DEV), and explorers (EXP), among others. These categories reflect each company’s primary business focus and stage of operational development.
